Title: Problems with port forwarding
Post by: Tyber1231 on April 27, 2011, 03:17:05 PM
Hello.
I have a problem with post forwarding. When i'm trying to run programs which are used for it, i get an critical system error, and i have to restart the computer. As i can't forward the port, does it means i won't be ble to play the game online? I would really appreciate some answers.

You should not be getting system  errors and the like no matter what your port settings are.... If you are you likely have a rouge application which is causing it.. Port forwarding happens at the router and has little to nothing to do with an individual computer other than it is where the packets go.

There was a quick guide to port forwarding around here somewhere.

There was. All links go to the pretty same program, which is causing this. But i have no idea why.

PS. You didn't answered my 2nd question. Do i have to port forwarding to play through the internet?
