Title: "Your connection to the server timed out"

Well, me and my Friend are trying to play the game (demo) togheter, but we only got one problem.. each time one of us tries to join eachothers servers, we get an error message saying "Your connection to the server timed out", I have added his player name to the "add player list" and I have disabled my firewall, same problem, I know it has to do whit the ports.. but the instructions on the webpage are for "linksey" routers and I got a Thomson one, wich looks completely different so I dont know if I entered the right information..
Anyone know how to fix this?
