Full mission complete? after mission content?

in the single player version after you complete all of the missions would it be possible to manufacture all of the bases parts? so that after your totaly done you can keep playing and expand your base...new farm units new hubs... and keep going? cause that would bring alot of extra game play into it after you beat the mission part even.

Not for this version.
Placing parts like a module is alot of manual work in a editor. Having users "build" a module was someting I wanted to do but would be extremely hard to do in software. How does a character pickup/move/hold the large pieces required to do the construction. I looked into magic construction like they did in StarWars Galaxy but didn't like how it was done.
I have pre built the base and add parts in per mission phase. I can add other phases that have pre positioned objects and will probably allow phases beyond the 6 phase game but to get the product out this year I have to get the most bang for the programming buck as I can. The current scenario is that a construction crew sets up the new modules between mission phases and you and your friends become the inhabitants of the base. What you suggest would be great, implementation on both code and art would be a 2 year nightmare. Perhapps version 2...

yah i bet it would be tough and maybe that could be something for an expansion or a #2 .. how about construction equipment? cranes and such? for another version after you release this one. maybe that could be like middle missions..in a perfect world it would be awsome to set it up start to finish pick your cargo assemble your ship pick departure times and point of landing even handel reentry ... for a single player version of corse but that kind of work would no doubt be a nightmare and a half even using some of the simms already out there like Oriter ... wich i thought was interesting especially for an open source simm. i cant wait for the next test im already hooked and all i did was help test one phase of the incomplete game. this is an absolute masterpice in my opinion.

i cant wait for the next test im already hooked and all i did was help test one phase of the incomplete game. this is an absolute masterpice in my opinion.
