(this is only an example of Carryable Sample Container from Apollo missions - on Mars it will look totaly different)

One thing that can make you realy frustrated in MCO is the fact that you can hold at the time, only 4 items.
If for instance - you go on a trip with your friend and want to sample an area for minerals, together you could hold maximum of only 8 samples.
When you are full, you don't have any choice but to get back to base and test them,
then go back to the area - gather 8 more samples and come back again, and so on, untill you move to another (even futher-away) area.
Not only is that frustrating, but also inefficient and unreal.
Morover - you can't take any more items with you then.
That is why I think there should be a Sample container which you may take with you and put all of your core/ground/biological samples inside of it.

You can carry the Sample container with you at any time.
When you have some samples in your inventory, you need to put it on the ground and open it.
You will see the above window.
Simply - drag the samples from your inventory to the containers inventory.
It can only store samples - not food, water, seeds etc..
Why there is a battery status?
Sample container is designed to maintain stasis environment.
That means it needs to control air preasure, temperature, humidyty etc..
