New MCO Gameplay film
« on: November 08, 2010, 10:55:25 PM »
I have an Idea.
If that's ok with Hyper - Let's make another gameplay video for the next version of the game.
It would be a video that documents how much MCO has evolved since the start (DEMO).
Currently there are NO videos from this version.

The idea is that we could all record small clips using fraps and send them to one person, who would join them together.
If we all play at the same time the film will be more interesting.
It should be a small (up to 5 min.) film, that shows using MCO equipement and activities.

For instance:
Quote
GPR shooting and showing how map gets probed (new dots emarge)
Using Drill and taking samples to LIBS.
Picking-up ground samples and rock samples - also testing them on libs.
Eating and drinking - after that - using toilete.
Preparing MRE packs - taking them to mine-outpost.
Estabilishing Comm.Tower. Show how the communications and weather terminals work.
Using computer - find an object using locator and goying to that coordinates.
Seting AUGAR with a friend in a rover - also pick portable lights, and ore boxes.
Picking mined resources from AUGAR and taking them to ore extractor.
Planting new plants - after they are mature - picking them-up.
Picking waste from various equipement.
Feeding and picking fish.
Harvesting mashrooms, worms and algae.
Extracting seeds, egs and biomatter.
Watering and Fertilizing the plants.
Depreasurizing module.
Dying.
Eating raw food.
Showing dropdown cylinder and build-in-progress modules.
Using reactor.
Cleaning PVP.
Saluting, Waving hand, transfering items, transfering oxygen and power, charging EVA. Adjusting temperature (yours and base).
Using sebatier reactor.
Fueling ROVER with canisters and external base tanks.
Breaking ROVER when hiting a small rock - then repair it localy - after returning to base, taking tool kit and repairing it.
Showing rover lights at night.
Swithing base lights ON.
Showing base external lighs at night.
Showing PHOBOS at night with ZOOM option.
Suiting-up in EVA gear.
Show the base from inside and outside.
Repairing water pump.
-OTHER-

Each of those clips would be as short as possible (5-20 sec). Combined they would make up to 5 min. of video, that would show how the Mars Colony-concept evolved so far.

Anyone interested to help?

I with you on this!

Its been quite a while since I posted some vids of earlier versions (They are the 2nd,3rd and 4th on your list, I use quiverdog as My youtube name) with mostly very positve comments and a total of 5000+ views (guess that means at least 5000+ pepole interested in that subject).

I for one will record some footage, and think its a great idea..

I would like to restrict this a bit so let me view anything before posting.
Artwork will be changing soon and I would like to present only the best areas.

I think it is a good idea but like hyper said be patient. :)
Murphy's Law applies "Anything that can possibly go wrong, does." or some say it this way "If anything can go wrong, it will.
