after spending a bit of time with the wife today farming on Mars
i would like to have a planter box that can only be picked after plants have seeded or
a planter box with a sign on it only pick after plants have seeded

same goes for the fish to harvest eggs

just another quick question
at what number do we harvest the fish , worms , mushrooms ?

last patch i did always harvest mushrooms down to 15. Dont know if that is ok, or if the number can go down further.

Future versions of the game will give you more information. Plants will have a status telling you they are seeding or not. You dont want to pick plants for food after they have gone to seed because the nutrition level is low at that point so future farmers will have to let some go to seed and some they need to pick earlier.
The fish are a bit different they go male/female and that should be listed in the info window as well. If you need eggs then you should be able to harvest them so leave the females in.
Remember all this is an alpha test. The fact that you can grow the fish and eat them for now is the necessary part. I will be tuning each funcitonal object in the game a bit more as it progresses. The alpha version is to just get the stuff in there and make it more or less work. After I know what all needs to be in there then I can back track through each system and make it more realistic.
