Meteorological station - Idea

Meteorological station
(A proposal to add a Meteorological station outside but near the main base, which is basicly a fenced field with all the metheorological instruments)

All around the world - wether it's England, Poland, USA or Russia, there is one design of a metheorological station.

What is a Meteorological station?
It's a special field covered by a short fence that measures lot's and lot's of metheorological data like: radio waves carrying, laser conductivity, sun's strenght, composition of radiation, collecting/fractioning and analyzing snow/rain (also on Mars!), measuring temperature, humidity, preasure etc..
No one should enter this field without permision, becouse it would disrupt the measurments. (BTW: I had the luck to be there for about an hour checking the aparatus  ;D)
If we are goying to make a base on mars we will need to estabilish one of those (or more possibly - quite many of them).
Morover - there is completely no problem estabilishing it.

Where a Meteorological station should be placed?
This designed field should be from 20-200 m away from the base to ensure proper measurments.

Good idea, but do we really need fences on mars? Couldn't we just tell people not to go in there? Fences just seem like a waste of precious resources.

I have also seen meteorological stations on rooftops, although its not like space is going to be a problem so it could definitely be put a little ways out.

The fence is there for a reason. Can you think of other reasons why a fence protects measuring aparatus? Besides - give me one good reason why MCO players wouldnt screw-around with it with no fence there? BTW: the fence uses practicly no resourses at all.

Those are not meteorological stations. Those are measuring stations. Every big city has a dozen of those on buildings for private (special) usage, but those who give valuable meteorological data are outside and looks like a field showed in the picture.
